Sean Caillouette

Owner of Studio Caillouette, born in New Orleans, graduated with a bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a focus in Advertising in 1995. Started designing in 1996. Opened a small design studio in 1997. Began creating fine art in 1998. Stardted designing for the internet in 1999. Began to study and do programming in 2001.

What can I say about myself without sounding egotistical? Well, I work hard and study a lot. I take pride in my design, and fine art was just another venture in the world of design. I'm fairly humble, but not when it come to SEO and self promotion. I like having my own business, and I consider each and every client to be my new boss.

Skill Set

Sean's skill set includes graphic design for web and print, fine art, web programming (PHP, MySQL, custom CMS, JavaScript Libraries (jQuery, Prototype and Sciptaculous), Flash ActionScipt, E-Commerce development, CSS, XHTML and HTML (only if you really need HTML, but looking forward to see what HTML 5 will be all about). I have freelanced for small companies and the large web-tech industry. No job is to big or small for my team and I.

I also create advertising campaigns for a variety of industries. Most notably was the contract I won with Kellogs in my last semester of collge. I enjoy working in a variety of industries and producing profitable results for my clients.

Programming

I have been programming since 2001. It all started with HTML, then I moved on to PHP and MySQL ... Suddenly HTML became somewhat obsolete, so I ventered into CSS and XHTML. I was designing in Flash in 1997, but now it is a robust OOP (Object Oriented Prgramming) Language based on JavaScript. So I have gotten into Flash programming, as well as JavaScipt libraries.

In regards to Javascript, I like to use Prototype, Sciptacuous and JQuery. The preeceding 3 are javaScript libraries, which takes the headache out of multi platform and browser issues, as well as intruducing a multitude of animation features that never existed with pure javaScript.

I like PHP and MySQL for e-commerce, database driven web sites and CMS (Content Management Systems). I'm a big fan of PHP, and MySQL. These languages haven't become to complex to handle. In fact, both of these languages are open source and built by a team of developers who don't charge a single dime for their work. How do they pay rent? I don't know, but I'm very happy to apply their knowledge according to you web needs.
